Someone once asked what granted me pure bliss and peaceful content last month.
This picture was my blatant answer.
Pokemon
Ahhhh, growing up with Bulbasaur or any quirky-looking creature in the Pokemon universe was a part of my happy childhood memories.
I wasn't able to grasp the complicated requirements of level training, element type dis/advantages and other trivial affairs at first, but then I slowly became better at it. After patient observation and collecting interesting "species", I learnt an important lesson of strategic analysis and acquiring hoard-like habits. I'm just kidding on the last one.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Before I was going into the Internet trend of following everyone else, I usually liked realistic horses and ponies.
The past generations of My Little Pony never took my interest in any way, shape or form because I was mostly into Barbie dolls or playing mother-orientated fantasies with my female cousin as a little girl.
As time went by, video games won me over and I read some disturbing facts on Barbie's role-modeling downfalls and internal conflicts on the female anatomy. I dare you to Google it and tell me otherwise.
As for My Little Pony of now, I admire how far it has come to stray away from being girly and pink puke-induced to establishing reasonable conflicts and fleshed-out colour schemes.
Cats, Especially My Own Kool Katz Prototype
I love cats. There's no denying that.
As much as I love small dogs over bigger ones, cats still have that number one place in my heart.
Cats are curious, intelligent and a playful ball of adorable fur.
Minus the hairballs and cynical passiveness that it displays for every non-cat lover,
I could just squeal with delight whenever I see one in person or on screen.
I mean, look at them as kittens. It's just so sweet and precious. In fact, I'm amazed that I never contracted diabetes.
Then again, diabetes isn't caused by just looking at something "cute".
Let's not go there if anyone's touchy on that subject...
Final Note: Rabbits & Art
Alongside cats, rabbits were my favourite pet growing up as a kid.
You can pick them up, stroke them (nicely, of course!) and gave them loads of love and pellets.
I remember pulling the hutch to a new patch of grass before the morning feed and cleaning out the crap.
Well yeah, it was one of my pet responsibilities. No one else was going to do it.
Other than that, my rabbit was comfortable and it made me feel comfortable.
Art has a fascinating history in both the Eastern and Western cultures.
It evokes ancient stories, depicts complex situations in historical accounts and other means of communicating concepts with captivating colours, emotional depth and vulnerable integrity. That's my way of putting it really.
My own passionate inspiration has driven me to tell my own story as I mastered the art of, um, Art.
So that's all I have to type up.
My question to you: What makes YOU happy?
