Ahh thank you, my shading is pretty basic honestly. :'3c Unless you meant the aurora mane effect, which is fairly basic too, as it only requires slapping some colours on the mane and then blurring them with SAI's water colour tool. I might have to rebalance the colours once or twice if it looks like one of them is owerpowering the others but it's a real fast process in general once you get the hang of it!

Honestly I hardly use any brushes either, I'm just too lazy. |'D And I've had SAI for like... five years. I just use the pen tool for lining and colour everything with the bucket tool... and uhh then if I need to blur I use the water colour brush. I should probably try and learn more but nahhh like I said, I'm lazy.

Maybe whenever I draw Sumio again I should make a step-to-step guide on how I colour his aurora. :'D I dunno if that'd help though.

I still sketch and line using good old FireAlpaca, lining tool in SAI is still a stranger to me (mostly because my tablet is not that good so you can't really have control over pressure), I use it mostly for coloring, as the bucket and ink pen are waay better than the other program >///< and the selection tool is better as well!

Step to step guides are a wast universe, they can be useful or not, I tried more than one for the Galaxy patterns, but I ended up doing it my own way, stealing just a couple of lazy-people advice x3
