I'm still trying to draw some passable ears, and you want me to draw without erasing?! Madness! Madness I say!

Now, you set the standard for good ears if you're the one making them. Same goes for everything else you may draw. Draw them the way you feel comfortable with, don't follow others' standards if they don't fit your style. Don't stay within boundaries, explore different approaches on whatever you may be working on. You should enjoy what you're doing, that's most important.
That's what this practice is for. There is no mistakes, you won't make them.
