Ugh, that new Spyro looks awful, and the general impression I've gotten of the whole game isn't promising any better. I bet he's not even back to his good old personality, because this Spyro looks like he's some blood thirsty vampire frog made in Spore. The game itself is not Spyro-ish at all, and other than there being somewhat Spyro-looking dragon with the same name it's like... what. What's up with all the freaky creatures which as far as I can tell have nothing to do with Classic Spyro or LOTR-- excuse me, LoS Spyro characters?Are the people responsible of Spyro's recent games purposely having a competition who manages to ruin the game even more? Seriously, I'm sure they could have made a game like this new Skylanders crap even without Spyro. I think I'm soon gonna miss LoS Spyro at this rate.
Sigh. I'm starting to wish that Insomniac would buy Spyro back just to let him die in peace.
But! So much for ranting. As for the comic, it's... rather quickly done as you can see. XD I rushed it because I'm tired and saddened by this upcoming game. :/

I checked it out and you're right! It's not as bad, though I probably would not have been pleasantly surprised back in the day even if that had been the first design for Skyladers Spyro. I like how it's a little HTTYD esque.
In my personal opinion, it's not that surprising that TFB is in charge of the remake. With them holding the copyrights, it was bound to be them who did it, and with all the recent remakes for other games, it was only a matter of time before one was announced for Spyro. That's why I call it "the redemption arc" for them, haha!

Just the Frodo voice alone and the gnarly lip look was like 'euw can't take my former spunky purple hero seriously.'

well, i loved spyro, played a few of his games.. one of`em to the very end,but then the bullsh*t spyro craped out by skylanders RUINED the feeling of respect to anything with spyro in terms of a good game, skylanders is good, but THAT spyro made by them, is a piece of crap...
i loved the spyro trillogies... especially dawn of the dragon, got malefore all the way down to the very last, untill that stuipid purple bubble, then, the data erased,

Skylanders eff'd him up, took away all but one element, and completely redid his physical form. Β DotD is one that i found that had the best look for Spyro. Β Sure the other ones were good, but his character was off. Β However, it was the way begining, so it was just starting out. Β No one should have taken him and made him the way he is, and as i continue with the Skylander series, there is no continueation of Spyro or Cynder in the newest one (super chargers that is). Β I wish i was rich enough to get him back, redo DotD, and continue his awesome riegn of being the legend that he is! Β If anyone would be on board with me, than say so!

Alternatively, Sony may buy Spyro the Dragon to make it's IP completely permanent, give the development to Insomniac Games, make a new game to bring back what old spyro was once stood out in the classic trilogies, and yeah.
