Description
This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the Nicktoons brand, and for the occasion I thought I'd do art pieces for each month showcasing the animated shows from Nickelodeon that share the same birth month.

Pinky Malinky is up first celebrating its second anniversary, having premiered its first season on Netflix on the very 1st of January in 2019. This show would mark Nickelodeon's first collaboration with Netflix, predating the premiere of the Rocko's Modern Life and Invader Zim TV movies. I think this show might be the most forgotten of all the Nicktoons, as the entire series was burned off in bits within the span of a year with little to no promotion. And unlike Glitch Techs, not a lot of people in the cartoon community seemed to talk about it then or now.

Celebrating its fourth anniversary is Bunsen is a Beast, which premiered on the 16th back in 2017. This was the fourth and last of the Butch Hartman branded shows, and honestly the one I, and many others I believe, liked the least. At first I thought it was somewhat okay, but after a while the formula got very repetitive and I was tired of the in-your-face humour.

I refrained from putting Kid Danger and Captain Man from the animated Henry Danger spinoff because I did not know if that counted or if it was actually produced by Nickelodeon Animation studios. Nothing about it had been posted on the official Nickelodeon Animation YouTube channel at the time of writing this.

Finally, there's It's Pony. One of the more recent shows that premiered last year on the 18th. The idea for this series of drawings actually came about from trying to come up with a one year anniversary piece for this show.

It's Pony at the moment is doing a lot better than the other aforementioned shows, as it's still going and has been renewed for a second season. Though it centres around the titular character being a magnet for trouble and the chaos that comes with him, it never gets to a point where it feels too mean-spirited as would be expected. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a show that is surprisingly wholesome and funny.
