Description This isn't the one I'm doing for the contest. I just wanted to get the cape/cloak in. It's still a wip since I need to put texturre into it, especially the masonry behind him. Just wanted to see what kind of reaction he gets.

Perhaps the "Mad Hatter" really is a more appropriate arch-villain for a Victorian Britain Batman after all? It's hard to concieve of what a clown-based, playing-card-style villain would be like in the 1800s.

Perhaps Joker would wear the old cap n' bells with ruffle around his neck. With a harlequin mask over his eyes. Think Pierro?

Hm... a Joker / Mad Hatter team-up? Or combo? Gosh I dunno.

It works right up until the Oliver Twist / street urchin cap on top of his head, with his bat ears poking out. The whole thing is awesome, but the cap makes me grin. The cap ends the "Superhero" and turns it into "backalley cosher." ('Oy! This 'ere's a super-'eroing, see! Oi'm gonna puts a stop to yers villainry!'

I wonder what sorts of gadgets he'd have. And what his version of the Joker is. "Joke the Ripper? Rip the Joker? Spring-Heeled Joke?"

Still, awesome concept, execution and especially the coloring/texturing.

"Please mista joker mai oi ave anutha?"
I never thought of it that way. That is kinda funny now that I look at it. I wasn't sure if I was gonna leave the top of his mask open, or have one made of silk, like Zorro or what. I figured it would have to be made of leather since he uses it as protection as well as to conceal his face. So no Zorro mask. Then I though maybe he would leave it open. But that would leave him too human looking. He's supposed to be scaring the hell out of people. If I remeber right, I couldn't decide how it should look on the top of his head so I put a hat up there. The leather top kept looking like one of those 1920's football helmuts.

Yeah, I been working on his grappling hook gun but that one's tough cause steam tech doesn't really lend itself to being small. I've been throughing down some concepts for the batmobile. I just need to put the ruler to it.

I have also been working on the Joker, but he keeps coming out like the Mad Hatter, I really mean that too if you google Zenescope you see almost exactly what my first few attempts looked like. Must have been subconcious. So I've been trying on smoking jackets and stuff. I think it's going to be more formal, with more subdued colors and no hat.
