Description Pauldrons I made as a part of my wood-elf costume for a Lord of the Rings larp battle. Made hastily during a night before battle. :-D Original concept was far more complex, but I lacked the time and needed to finish the work before departure. That´s why they are rather simple for my taste.
Made of 2-3mm cowhide, stained, beeswaxed and oiled.

Well, the color result may look as my natural color, that i call. Like my elven armor torso is natural. For my part i use beeswax and parrafin 3/7 and sometime i use a clear antique finish paste when needed... but the results looks just like yours. Hey, thanks for your answer!

Very nice! I also use beeswax on my armor but no oil.... What oil do you use on your leather work?

Hi! I usualy use beeswax melted with petroleum 1/3, and to further impregnate and polish the leather I use vaseline, or silicon oil, or whatever oil, that doesn´t rancid, is at hand at the moment. I haven´t noticed any difference so far.
