Shadesong is a huge sweetheart, and is extremely polite. He always tries to use manners expected of a gentlecat, especially around elders and queens. Not a day goes by where Shadesong doesn't compliment another cat on something they've done. Even a small feat.

Shadesong, similar to his sister, is a social butterfly. He loves to be with other cats all the time, even if he's not talking (while he does like to talk). While being around other cats does give him rumors and the ability to spread them, Shadesong's maw is sealed. He likes to have friends, and he wouldn't do a thing to endanger that.

[ Bashful ] =

Shadesong acts shy sometimes, but he's not really. He's just bashful. He blushes a lot when others compliment him and it's kinda just a cute trait.

[ Protective ] =

Shadesong is extremely protective of cats he loves. He's a little /too/ protective sometimes, and puts himself in danger for their sake. Not that that's bad, but it's reckless for sure.

[ Oblivious ] -

Some might think that Shadesong's obliviousness is cute. But it's really not, because it gets him into huge trouble. And his obliviousness doesn't just effect him, but those around him. Whether it be feelings from another cat, or feelings of hostility all around him, things pass right over this birdbrain's head. He's not stupid, he's just not very witty.

[ The Classical Romeo and Juliet Type of Tale ]

"Two bloodlines, both alike in dignity,

A pair of Starclan-cross'd lovers join their lives;

Petalkit the daughter of Waspbuzz, and Firkit the son of Lilacfur, were supposed to be like their parents. Destined to hate eachother, and let it fester to another generation of hateful kits. But that tale was not allowed to take place between the bloodlines whose truths had been blurred through time. For a long time, they did take after their parents.

But Petalpaw, soon named Petalnose, began to play hard-to-get. And What could a tom like Firfoot do but fall into the trap? The couple soon fell in love, and had kits. And while the families may not have united like a true classic tale may tell, so ends the story of fair Petalnose Juliet, and her Firfoot Romeo.

[ The Story Doesn't End There ]

"A House Divided" had become a den full of kits. Petalnose birthed 3 kittens to her mate. 2 toms, and a she-cat. Shadekit was the first born of the litter, a small, black tom-kit with a few distinctive tabby stripes on his legs. Daisykit was a diluted calico, with two different colored eyes. Black-kit was the final kit, named for his black fur, darker even than Shadekit's pelt. The kits lived a rather regular kithood. They played and ran and had fun together like all kits do. Shadekit became fairly protective over his family. He was like a mini warrior, even having playful scuffles with his father when he pretended to be an evil rouge. Shadekit was always a little…empty-headed however, and tended to get into trouble more often than not.

Shadekit was made Shadepaw, along with his siblings, and was apprenticed under a she-cat named Songbird. Songbird was responsible for most of what became Shadepaw's personality. Songbird was a pretty she-cat, gray-furred with amber eyes. She was like a second mother to Shadepaw and the two grew closer than ever. Shadepaw learned his manners from Songbird, and was often welcomed into the elder's den happily for his laid back and kind demeanor. Queens liked him too, but rarely let him into the den as he got older. He was clumsy as a badger on his paws sometimes!

As Shadepaw grew, he made sure that he was always involved in his family's lives. He could often be seen trailing along behind his brother and sister like a duckling when he wasn't out patrolling. Shadepaw was especially protective over his sister, Daisypaw, because of her somewhat weak eyesight. He always tried to keep her safe from harm. But Shadepaw was an oblivious cat. The bullying that Daisypaw received always went right over his head. And by the time he's realized what was happening, the fighting had already gotten physical.

Shadepaw had been out hunting with his mentor, and had been on his way back to camp. It was then that he heard his sister's voice. He asked Songbird to excuse him from the patrol so he could go check on his sister. Songbird allowed, and Shadepaw galloped off happily to find his sister. He was only to arrive to his cousin, Sagepaw, and he friends hurling rude comments at his sister. Shadepaw barked up a "Sagepaw, Daisypaw, what's going on?" But he wasn't heard before his sister attempted to escape, and was attacked. Shadepaw, to shocked at the revelation that his sister was being bullied, couldn't get his legs to move until the fight was done. Shadepaw helped his sister to the medicine cat's den, and swore to his sister to keep the fight private.

It wasn't long after the fight that Shadepaw had another cruel blow close to his heart. It was mid-Leafbare, around his and his sibling's first birthday. A big snow had hit the clans, leaving snow all over. A beautiful landscape, but a hard area to find prey in. Songbird had offered to lead a hunting patrol. The patrol was out a long time, and when they returned, it wasn't with prey. It was with Songbird, her body twisted and freezing. They rushed her to the medicine cat's den.

She lived. Barely. But 2 of her legs were broken, and she was left with a painful cough. Songbird was urged to retire early, and Shadepaw was assigned a new mentor, Hedgefur, for his remaining moons of training. Hedgefur was a fluffy tom-cat, similar in appearance to Shadepaw, aside from his blue eyes and lack of stripes. Shadepaw bonded with his new mentor, but never grew as close to him as Songbird. The apprentice made it a point to visit the elder's den daily to check on his healing ex-mentor.

As Shadepaw made up for lost days of training, his sister, now named Daisycreek, was made a warrior, and soon after, so was Blackpaw. Shadepaw was the last to be made a warrior of his siblings, at 13 moons. He'd specially requested his warrior name, Shadesong, in honor of Songbird. He promised that he would be just like her one day. Shadesong has only just begun his warriorhood.

The sun was beating down on the clouds again, today. It was a warmer day since the cold season had set in, a perfect day to go flying.
Kimberly sat on the back of his loftwing, clutching the back of her scruffy neck feathers with one hand, and holding his pictobox in the other. His finger lingered on the trigger, and he held the wooden box to his eye, looking through the eyepiece for things to take pictures of.
It's been a long time since he'd flown over the Chronos Desert Region. He didn't like the area much, childhood memories were always a dread. But the scenery was interesting, and he decided a trip there was worth it for the photos.
As Bermuda, Kimberly's faithful loftwing, flew over the town, Kimberly tucked his pictobox away, and leaped off his loftwing, using his sailcloth to float safely to the ground. Now, it was time to snap some nice photos around town...
