They have the perfect team to do it. The First King distracts the clerk with a long-winded story about the old days, Glombrox smashes the candy jars and holds all the candy (and probably eats half the store, but the other two will get more than their fair share), and Raymesis gets to grab the candy and lead their daring escape.

I've only ever played the first Rayman (and even then...never got very far, because that game was HARD), so I don't know much about the lore. But yes! I love the idea of an evil Rayman doppelganger : D

Man, if only Rayman 1 wasn't so hard, because the evil Rayman doppelganger showed up in that very game!
...you just had to collect every single cage in order to even see him, a task too great for most of the people playing that game. Why was Rayman 1 so unforgiving, gah.
As for Rayman, he now has, if you don't count Raymesis and Bad Rayman as the same character like I do, about five evil doppelgangers and it's pretty great. He's almost like Sonic in that regard!
But there is seriously two distinct characters named Dark Rayman, a Shadow Rayman, and a Bad Rayman. Rayman lore is a plate of spaghetti in terms of how tangled the plot threads are, I love it.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM~! I love these. So much. I think it just might be my new headcannon. (Raymesis is my favorite!) I really like the backstories and designs you gave them!

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you! I'm really glad that a lot of people in the comments are liking my headcanons for these three and are being reasonably entertained by them.
I kinda love that these three characters are paired up so naturally together, even if what we know about their personalities seems like such an alliance would be incredibly unlikely, since one is clearly not evil and one is more of a big stinky frog with no real alliances. Plus I just really wanted to flesh out my Raymesis who isn't all doom and destruction but rather a bit of an aimless rogue who is a super big jerk with some level of danger but doesn't really have the motivation or the drive to really take anything over. But boy is he smug about it.

I'm not sure if the first king is registered as a nightmare like the other 2 in canon.

None of them are nightmares or were ever established as nightmares in canon. When nightmares are talked about, they usually mean the creatures spawned from when Polokus has a bad dream or whatever lurks in the Cave of Bad Dreams, not so much the evil dopplegangers.
Also The First King has been paired with the other two before even though he has more benign descriptions than the other two. This Halloween video from UbiSoft was how these three costumes were introduced, with them mirroring the four playable characters you start out with at the start: www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2KXxGβ¦
