Description This is a very belated wedding gift to my friends Mike and Veronica. We had the brilliant idea to use ribbed glass as foam on the breaking surf. It's a pain in the arse to cut, and the whole thing took way longer than it should have because of it and ended up not looking half as good as I'd planned.
I still haven't actually given it to them, because I haven't picked out a frame yet. It's been leaning against my window for a couple of months now.

This was a collaborative project with my dad, Joseph Tursi.

I'm truly saddened that you're not pleased with the result of the ribbed glass, because I think it's absolutely brilliant and stunning! What a gorgeous, gorgeous piece, your friends will be so blessed!

Well, we ended up wasting a lot of glass because it kept breaking as it was cut... It ended up being very costly and time consuming. The glass used as the water had streaks of white running through it, and the original idea was to use the streaky parts at the edge to make it look like breaking surf. None of that worked out though.
But I'm glad you like it.

oof, I'm sorry to hear that! Yeah, that would be frustrating and disappointing beyond measure.
But yes, I still very much love it!
