Great work.

I think I'm picturing a scene from The never ending story more.

Never Ending Story? I don't remember any part with a decapitated animal head in that movie. XD

I can't recall the character names but there was this scene in one of the movies where a kid was being stalked by a giant wolf/dragon thing and he had to kill it.

I can imagine everyone else sitting there for a heroic speech while he (does his best to) sprint away with the head in the background yelling
"Fuck you guys I got my new footstool/ level up!!"

This kinda reminds me of Princess Mononoke you know? Like at the end where Ashitaka has to return the head of the great forest spirit? That scene was epic by the way. And so is this piece! Good job. :3

Lol, yeah a few people have mentioned that. And that is a good movie. :> This characters actually taking the head though, not giving it back. XD

I adore this picture, fromthe straining of his muscles to the dripping blood, the details and symbolism is amazing. You can really see the 'weight' he's carrying.

Thank you! ^^ And you know, it's funny because I didn't have any symbolism in mind while drawing this, and I never really had any in mind for this scene in the story either, but people seem to be putting in there own. Which is cool. Power to the viewers/readers. XD

yellowsmoke321 In reply to Turtle-Arts [2014-02-16 06:54:59 +0000 UTC]
like trial of some sort for the male as he trudged onward with the weight of the hunger of a wolf slain in preventing passion from taking charge

Turtle-Arts In reply to yellowsmoke321 [2014-02-16 07:04:56 +0000 UTC]
Huh. That's pretty deep, man. :I Actually, I didn't have any symbolism in mind for this, but that actually is surprisingly applicable to the character at this point. Bravo. XD

I know it's already been mentioned but this reminds me of Princess Mononoke! But i really love the way you drew this. Does the head have any magical powers of the sort or will it just be something that can be put over the fireplace? haha
π: 0 β©: 1
Turtle-Arts In reply to Crystalchik [2014-02-16 06:45:04 +0000 UTC]
No, the head's not magic. Well, not anymore. Eheheheh. XD He's bringing it back because someone else wanted it for "hanging over the fireplace." The monster was eating people, and Gild's a hunter, so he gets sent out to take care of it. But it's a bit more complicated in the story. And actually, this is a relatively short part of the story, but the monster is a character I'm rather fond of. XD
