Description
One of the many attack for Zylara. The more magic put into this orb of dense, arcane energy, the more destructive it is.Charge Level 3 (max 10), hoof size projectile.
This thing actually came up during an RP, using Zylara as a character.

Completely fucks up whatever it touches? Most probably.
It's more like a super magic missile.
However, charge lvl 10 does vaporize materials, including ponies. I'll probably make a level 6 and a level 10 void ball... eventually.

So how big is charge lvl 10 ? Still hoofball sized? And does it have aoe damage, or is that classified spoilers?

lvl 10 is big, like... at least alicorn/princess (funny how princess in this case means big) size. And that one does have a huge area of effect. But at this (lvl 3), the area of effect is pretty small/negate-able.Β

So...last resort usage, considering Zylara's limits, or have they been altered to be less debilitating?

Eh... The sort of/not really? The higher the charge level, the larger the orb. But it also moves slower and takes longer to charge. a level one orb, which is only bout three times the size of a bit, can be cast and fired about as fast as one of the slower machine guns in fallout. But these things are like her bread and butter; she uses these (the weaker ones) quite often, along with couple other offensive spells.

Oooh~ So can she summon a ton of of lvl 1 orbs for a barrage attack then? Or is it one of those 'one shot at a time' type attacks?

Heh, not at all. she can summon a bunch of level 1 orbs to get a good barrage going, or a fewer higher level ones for more damage. lets say if the target is small and far away, a bunch of smaller void orbs would be better than fewer large ones, sort of like a shotgun effect. While a larger, closer target (like a Unity alicorn or a Hellhound), a larger ball would more effective. Β It all depends on the situation and different variables, like target size, distant, speed, whether or not they're aware of her presence.
