Question, i'm gonna use Agar Agar jelly with this for my birthday (vegetarians coming, and we happened to not be able to find jello) ...Should I replace the cold water at start with the soda? (With Agar Agar you throw cold water over the agar agar powder, then boil the entire thing)

How much pudding, what kind of packages? It's kind of ambiguous there.

As much as you want? enough to cover it, I mean it's been like a year and I dont know how people are finding this anyway, just use whatever pudding you like?

The top layer tastes just like vanilla pudding, and if you used the cake-base it'll just taste like lemon lime jello!
But if you use the pie crust instead, it's going to taste like some kind of vanilla pie-ish thing.
I thought it was nice, anyway! Hope this is of any help c:

So I had to make the pudding not from scratch is that ok?
It's has been like a couple hours since I put the finished product in the fridge and the pudding is still not thick is that normal?

TweekyTweak In reply to bronymaster3000 [2012-06-03 06:09:31 +0000 UTC]
Making your own pudding is fine, of course. But its supposed to be like, really thick! :C maybe if you wait a little longer? Im sorry to hear that :c

One last question haha, do I have to cook the pie crust? Or no?

shinigan-no-sora In reply to tehubertubez [2013-09-07 00:36:18 +0000 UTC]
Honestly that depends on the kind of crust you use.
There are pie ccrusts that need to be cooked regardless and then there are some that come precooked but can be toasted depending on preference

Yes :'D Unless its a ready made one, like, already cooked. That what I meant in the instructions xD No one wants raw pie crust! It would just taste odd xD

I just have a few questions.
1) What does grease proof paper mean? Like wax paper?
2)What qualifies as chill?
3)And lastly, would it make a big difference if I didn't chill it overnight and just for a few hours?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
TweekyTweak In reply to tehubertubez [2012-05-30 05:22:28 +0000 UTC]
Yes, wax paper would do just fine. As long as it doesn't stick to the bowl! :'D
By chill, I mean it's cold enough for the Jello to completely set. Like, if you leave it on a counter for ages nothings going to happen! :0
And again, the Jello has to be set, so if it sets in a few hours, that's fine, you won't have to wait. Its just that overnight guarantees it, and I like to make sure its not going to slop all over ;3 If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
