March/ 2010 - Arroyo Grande Creek - Oceano, California

A particular beautiful morning in early spring. In the valleys the early morning fog was snaking their retreats back towards eternity. Nearby, Mallards make their morning calls to each other across the creek. As the sun rose through the swaying trees I made my way down through a dense thicket of poison ivy, and patches of stinging nettle to the muddy floodplains. I looked back up stream to see this beautiful scene taking place. I quickly set up my tripod to capture the moment.
