Description Here's a tip: by adding a few more rings along the edge of a dag of scales like this, they'll stack properly.

You can use this to edge the bottom edge of scale sheets as well, if you treat it as a series of very short dags.

Something needs to take up the tension, as a sheet of scales will bunch up like you described when any sideways force is put on it. My first piece with scales was hung from a leather belt through holes punched along the edge. What I usually do now is to start with a chain to hang it from. For small scales, a chain of alternating 3/16" and 5/16" rings seems to do the trick.

Stainless steel and brass scales, stainless steel rings. The pattern is a modified euro 4-1, where half of the pre-closed rings are replaced with scales, and the other half is left out (except at the edge, as shown). The scales are from [link] , which also has a basic tutorial up on how to use them.
