OOOOH MY GOD I am so excited to find this. I loved that book as a kid; randomly found it one day and read it a thousand times.

I absolutely adore it, but it's not very well known. I still have my copy. : )
This picture is really lovely; I love the crackle effect. It makes it look like an old, worn-out book cover from some creepy children's story.

Oh, my goodness...I LOVE this!!! I simply adore it! I love how it has all the cracks in it...It reminds me of old/cracked tile! Fantastic. :]

It looks a lot like it might be from "The Mouse Butcher" - Tom the black cat and Diana the pampered purebred with the bow, and face in the background...
I love the stark simplicity of it, coupled with the textural effects. Really works.

Perhaps they changed the title for later/earlier editions? I only know it was one of my absolute favourite books as a kid x3 I think I've still got a very battered copy in my room somewhere.
