I always thought the setting of the first three books to be more gothic and the fourth to be taking place in a post-victorian-like
Scadrial. And so i think the style mould better fit that book. But the cover looks great no matter what.

Ooh, this is gorgeous. Mistcloaks lend themselves very well to art nouveau.

My only criticism is that the lines are supposed to connect to her chest, center of balance and all that instead of her hand. Otherwise I like it.

I'm aware. It was done for artistic choice. :3

Love how it all works together. The art nouveau style works so well.
I also vote for Elend. ^^ (But don't toss faux-noble Vin out the window! That'd be awesome.)

Thanks so much. I love the art nouveau with this as well.
Honestly I'm slightly leaning towards doing faux-noble Vin first, and then Elend. I just feel that side of Vin is so rarely done. But I still also really want to do Elend.

The abstract patterns around the allomantic symbols is really cool, plus it helps frame Vin nicely.

This is fantastic! I vote for the Valette picture, if that counts for anything.

Hahaha thanks. I was thinking that as well, as there are just so few pictures of Vin featured like that.

Yeah, exactly. I think it's easy to forget the Valette persona when faced with the kick-awesome Vin the Assassin part of the character. I love this piece, though. It's really fantastic. It kind of reminds me of a tarot card (though I'm not entirely sure why) and now I want to make a deck. lol

I totally get the tarot feel. It's has that long feel like a card, but also has a design look that gives a card/tarot feeling. It would be cool if these were a deck, but that would be a lot of work on my end.

Just to be picky... What she's doing with the coins is impossible. It's stated that the push comes from the body's center of mass, and that the natural reflex to extend one's arms is useless. So levitating coins from the hand can't be done.
That said, I actually think the picture is brilliant. I think the runes and especially the mist at her feet are fantastic, and greatly compliment the feel of the books.

Thanks for pointing that out, as I had forgotten that aspect. I had drawn the coins, and just decided to add the blue lines from her hand thinking it would be a good add in. The picture isn't accurate, but that's ok. I still think the artistic parts are good.

Thanks. The swirls were sometimes a bit annoying to do, but I'm glad you like them.
