I was going to call this photo "Ash- Pokemon Trainer" to spite ... but then I weighed the consequences and decided that the hilarity that would ensue did not justify the beatings.This was my fallback costume for AE. I only made the jacket, and I made it last minute. The costume was a very good excuse to wear comfortable clothing on the last day. I can't wait to upload the skit we did for Pokemon. It was such a blast to film! I hope that , , and I can cosplay Red and the Gym Leaders again in the future :3

Oddly, there were a few different versions of Red that I found while searching for references. I chose the version from the manga, but I wore the hat forwards and used different jeans and shoes. It's inaccurate as a result, but it's not like that's unusual with my cosplays XD. Fail on my part.
Hat, jeans, shirt, shows and Pokeball were all bought locally.

i do closet cosplay too and there is nothing to be ashamed of!
earlier this year, cosplayed for the first time and i went to college dressed as lyra in a team rocket outfit because i had all the elements to it.
needless to say, it was so fun... i made a bunch of new friends and had fun.
and btw you do look like red that jumped into the real world...

the pokeball is a type of toy that you can find at walmart, and they have a string attached to them that opens the pokeball when you throw it, so that the plushie inside goes flying out. I have like three of them.

They used to sell them here, but now it's too expensive to go grocery shopping at walmart, so I haven't been there in a really long time. I don't know if they still sell them.

How did you make the jacket? I was thinking of buying a pattern for a vest and just sewing white sleeves onto it once i'm done sewing, but I don't know if that will work

I've always asked myself something... Isnt red ash? everybody says no and i would do as well... just look at its face, it is not the same as ash, but is the same pokemon team and even costume and even pikachu!

There needs to be more determination, because Red is pretty much Ash; and in this picture he looks too happy and carefree; just saying but more ferocity is needed.
