(Gets on all fours like a feral animal) HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!
This was a valentines day page I did last year for patrons, this time actually on time on valentines day LMAO I had so much trouble with this page cos I was fighting canvas sizes and page limits etc. im never doing a page this long again but I couldn’t cut this cos of the flow of the narrative I wanted to keep. But ANYWAY I think the timing is also perfect cos Burnet has just debuted so I like how this scheduling ended up LOL

Anyway the art is a bit old but I still think this is one of my fave pages I’ve written for penumbra hilariously enough, Im not someone who writes romances, in fact I struggle to write them A LOT (mostly cos as a sex/romance repulsed aroace that has never been my strong suit looool) but I wanted to write one for these two and now I love them a lot… my two stupid ass neurodivergent disaster couple :’ )

Anyway yeah I kinda took burnet and made her my own character, as much as I like the canon burnet personality, i wanted to do something very different and even changed her backstory lol, there will be more of her in the comic as the story goes on as shes a pretty important character

This comic takes place years before the events of Penumbra, a snippet of backstory for Burnet and the way she and Kukui became friends (and later partners lol) I wanted to try a different art style and kinda a narration storytelling thing. Kinda
