In a lot of Asian culture most thing has to do with yin and yang (or Taoist symbol representing Taiji symbol)...with the women they are Pale skinned and pertain to the moon and a whole bunch of submissive side and Males are Dark skinned with the sun and are the dominant of the two....dunno if they still practice it or not but its ingrained in the culture
