Description This is my first original origami I have created from 1 piece of paper (aka following the origami rules, one piece of paper without glue or cuts)

It is based on the bird base with some other thing I found on Robert Lang's book Origami Design Secrets. It is very good book for teaching how to create origami models.

I will eventually create more designs as I read more the book.

Tell me what you think and what could I improve

I started out self learning from origami-club.com, I never knew what bases were or what the different folds are until now, I simply followed instructions on the pictures. I suck at designing origami (Actually, I don't know if I do, I never tried designing my own origami before), so I've been practicing using others designs for a loong time, and seeing you've got the folding skill that I have took 1.5 years to master in your first origami, I really need to buy "Origami Design Secrets"

Its a really good book going more into the technical side of origami. I also spent a lot of time (some years) only folding from instructions before trying to design a model.

Hehe, nicely done. When you create your own designs you should post the folding instructions with them.

Thanks
I already took the photos to do a tutorial but I havent started it yet since I have changed the design a bit and maybe I will have to take new photos.
Do you think the head is too big or its Ok? I have changed to do the head smaller but it becames a bit more complicated.

Hmm... I wouldn't say the head was too big, but then I tend to draw large-headed dragons on account of I think they'd need enough room for brains and teeth... No, I think the head looks fine.

I think I will leave it like it is (big head) since making the head smaller would make it more difficult (and harder to do the tutorial).
I dont really think I will have time to do it now, I will have to wait until vacations arrive.
