We did this when I was in the marine corps... The goal is to learn to slowly squeeze the trigger and not pull it... Very effective training tool.

2 years ago i was aiming a a deer and was about to shoot when my brother stoll the kill from me. In my scope I saw a huge spray of blood and that thing doing a back flip.
My bro hit it dead on in the heart.
Same thing happend this year too, I aimed at a deer, hear a bang (again my brothers shot) and see it die in my scope. What sore luck.

2 years ago I was hung over (not proud, ashamed) so my hands where really shaking. Second year the shot came fairly quickly (withing 5 seconds of my aiming that thing went down) Your right though, i tend to take my sweet time.
