Partly yes, partly no, partly something entirely different - the Beltane Fire Society has religion of it's own, especially with the Red Men (I got their name wrong when I labelled this photo; the Beasties are their drummers).

Very intriguing..I always thought places like Borneo and perhaps even Zimbabwe might have such rituals like this, but not Scotland.

I do love the sheer wickedness of this pic for the fact that it looks like quite barbaric festival which is kinda neat and the people look as though they have the rabies..positively freaky!
