Description
Here's best pony looking like she means business in her flight goggles. It's been too long since I drew RD in a positive light.I've gotta stop animating hair blowing in wind though, I'm starting to feel a bit like a one trick pony

This is fantastic work! First I will talk about the vector itself.
I really love the way you used shadows to emphasize the depth and to add actual shading to the 2D character. The only thing I am nit-picky about is the shadows are just a tad bit sharp and rough in some areas. Besides that the shadows are smooth and flow neatly with the character.
No complaint on the colors, they are perfectly fine.
Now for the animation:
I REALLY love the way you handled the animation. Not only did you add movement to the tips but you also added the necessary frames for the upper (Larger) part of the hair. NICELY done. The only thing that draws back the animation is the hair seems to have 3 separate movements rather than 1 wind-blown cycle. Besides that it is smooth and goes well with your vision. The vision is VERY obvious and apparent, EPIC-like. I put a 5 on originality since iv'e never seen this technique as far as mlp goes! Once again nicely done.
Out of all 5 out of 5. As a fellow animator and graphic designer I approve of this and I hope to see more of your animations!

About the hair movement; yeah there's 3 separate movements there. Would you suggest handling it more like the wings with simply two keyframes rather than the triangular movement I have going on at the moment? You seem to know your stuff (just had a look at your Pinkie animation ^^) and I've only been at this animating stuff for a month. I really just experiment and hope for the best!

Vision: It's a pretty simplistic design even more so if I compare it with earlier work you did. (But that's not fair and I should not compare it to older work.) Still the design is pretty simple just very well executed. I have the feeling this could be a easy fix though. Just add some background or give us a idea why she is looking like that. Because now it's just her starring and it's more the imagination of the viewer then the imagination of the artist that gives this piece of art life. (ok and the animation of course) But if you wanted the viewers to use their imagination or in other words: if you wanted others to give this image meaning then I guess you succeeded. There is a risk to that though: not so creative people won't see much more in this then just RD starring with goggles.
Originality: First off bonus points for animation. Even if this is something you did in the past already and even if you feel like a one trick pony for drawing hair blowing in the wind like that. For the simple reason that we don't have a lot of detailed animations like this. Or at least not as much as we have static ones. The glasses are a nice touch but I have seen those before a lot so no stong feelings either way. What really wins you points here though is the way you drew her. It's a style I have not seen a lot yet. It gives her authority and makes her look serious.
Technique: Well the animation alone makes you score so many points. It's really well done. No weird placements, no unintended overlap. Overall high detail on the image, And the animation itself feels subtle yet is gives a clear message. There is one question for me that still remains though. Should the hair behind her glasses also move? I get the feeling it should not but this is just a small mistake and the overall quality is just really well done.
Impact: I am sorry to say it did not leave a big impact on me. When I looked at it first glance I felt she looked stong confident and ready for anything. But the more I looked at it the more it seemed she had a look on her face with the feeling: I don't care. I know however this is because I have been looking at it for so long now by writing this and that doesn't seem fair to me. Yet at the same time this is the final impact the image has on me so you could also say that's what matters. I am sorry but as you might have guessed I am completely torn on this subject. Look in the other comments for a awnser to this because I won't be able to give it to you.
Offsection: Here I would like to say that by looking at your work I can see you have improved quite well over a relative short period of time. No question that if you continue this you will get very far. The evidence is right at your watcher list after all. It has grown bigger in less then a month then most other accounts have done in years. I hope you keep up the good work and give share more art with us. And if you do I am sure more people will give you feedback like this and of course watch, comment and rate it.

About the hair moving underneath the goggles... I completely did not think about that. But you're absolutely right and now it's going to annoy me forever! Not enough for me to bother tweaking it and re-uploading, but still, thanks for pointing it out ^^
I would agree this piece doesn't leave a huge impact; mainly because it's so simple and there's not a lot going on. I'll admit right now that I wanted to do something bigger with this but decided against it due to some time constraints (I'm working on an original fully animated scene at the moment... non-MLP, so that's stealing away all my time.)
But anyway, thanks a lot for the great feedback. I'm taking it all on board for my next deviation
