Description
Now in color! Since I already posted the sketch, I'll just include the description I used before:In celebration of the 8th anniversary of Twokinds, I decided to draw a picture of the characters who started it all: Trace, Flora and Keith. In the beginning, these were the only characters I had planned. It might not seem like it today, but originally, these three were going to be in a love triangle. According to the first scripts, Keith and Flora were meant to be involved in a sort of love-hate relationship. This idea was eventually scrapped though, and soon after, Natani was introduced to balance out the group. You can still tell, though, in some of the earlier comics, that Keith was originally supposed to become attracted by her.
Many things have changed since the original inception of the comic. Lots of ideas were being thrown around at the time, and many were scrapped and added along the way, to make up the comic you all know now as Twokinds. Still, it's fun to look back occasionally, and wonder what could have been.

I have read this comic so many times from the beggining, and the more I do, the more I fall in love with it! Keep it up Tom! Maybe you could hire an intern or something so they could make it 24/7 :3

please make an very convenient event to make her live longer otherwise the comic will lose charm if she dies of old age like that...

She's only 11-12 (it's been over six or so months) years old, unless there's some huge time-jump in the plot (or if Tom will keep the story going long enough to get there gradually) there's no reason for her to die in the comic, not of natural causes at least.
Tom could still have her killed, to get some dramatic character developement for Trace for example, but I can't see that happening, at least not until some very late/final stage of the story, given how central she and her relationship with Trace is to the comic's core theme.
Also, try to look at the situation from another angle. It's been already established that there's no known way to prolong one's life (not saying Trace can't eventually find a way if Tom can make it plausible within the lore). But there's a lot of ways to shorten one's life, black magic comes to mind and Trace has already been affected by prolonged use of it, or something that might happen to him further in the story. I know it's kinda cruel to wish for him to die sooner, but as far as I can tell that's currently the only way to balance his and Flora's lifespans.
We'll see when/if it gets addressed again.

Very convenient is no good. Nora said it in the comic: you can't fight your nature, you can just enjoy the little time left to savor life. There's no point inventing a (too much) convenient event to cheat with life, it would be a poor move from Tom.Β
She will probably don't die during the comic (maybe after) and even if we saw her die, it could be beautiful. Sad and beautiful. In fact, the more I think to it, the more I see Arwen's story (of LOTR) in a reversed way. And it's beautiful.Β

I was thinking that maybe she could live longer since she has human DNA in her, maybe, and I hope so. This comic must go on with Flora in it or it will be no where near the same.

If she dies, it probably won't be in the middle of the comic I think. There's still a lot to say.
But the DNA of her son... It's his DNA, not her DNA. The child may live longer but it won't affect her. A child longevity never affected his/her mother longevity.
(But don't get me wrong, I don't wish to see her die. Just that is how I see it coming. Sorry.Β )
