Freelance Mascotting at Celebrate Downtown Okemos, June 7th - 2012.

The reaction from the children was amazing. They start out in awe, then would come in for a hand/paw shake, then maybe a high-five, and finally a touch & hug, and then a mug for Mom & dad's camera.

As we gain experience, me and my handler will learn to be more observant, because sometimes a child would come in timid from behind, and I would never even know they were there. As I edit these pictures, I see there were several kids who I didn't interact with, who were waiting for me to turn around and see them. My handler will have to be my eyes for those situations. That's where the partner / handler is the most necessary and I now see why.
