i like how the colors just run off the page... you've included just enough detail to capture the essence of the tiger which is really nice

did you use the water color, or the pen first? Sometimes when I use the pen first, it smears, but other times it works, i'm just curious. Thank you

For this one I did the watercolor first and drew the lines on top.
But if you look through my gallery I have other works where I used pen first.
To prevent smearing or inks that run into the watercolor I had to go through many different brands to find one that wont bleed/smudge/run and I found one that is absolutely perfect. It's completely waterproof and once it's on the paper it wont be affected by water what so ever. It's the Sakura Pigma Microns . I know you can get them easily in Canada so you should be able to get them in the States as well. They are cheap too, mine costs $1.95 CAN
