Seems Hamtaro bought a Santa hat that was a few sizes too big. XP Aw well,he's real cute anyways. He seems a tad chubby...must have had too many cookies. X3Please Critique if you can. ^^

Aw shucks,thanks. X3 I was told by one of my other friends as well that more shading would help. I'll try a bit harder. I'm always afraid I'll shade too much,even when I'm shading too little.

I really like how this turned out. The tree's decorations in the backround are awesometastic. The coloring is abit odd, but it's probably because of your scanner. Hamtaro does indeed look chubby, but he still looks pretty impressive. Did you use a reference? Because if you didn't, it's a great job without a ref. One of my favorite parts of this picture was the red trim on the tree, and that adorable little blue-ish angel on the tree. Nice touch. C: The only thing I have against this is that everyone draws Hamtaro. That's why I rated the "Originality" 3 stars. Hmmm,yes. The colors are fuzzier than in the original. It looks much better in RL. And his head was meant to be chubby,because I thought it was cute. And I must say that I have recently seen no new Hamtaro art. I believe if it had been a Naruto Christmas picture,it definitely would have deserved a big thumbs down for originality. But thank you for the generally positive critique. ^^

I don't dislike the wii, though. My friend and I have been playing Brawl together since the day it came out. But I agree, the Wii U looks blah. I already don't respect it, and I barely know anything about it.

I love how he came out, Hamtaro is so cute. I love the eyes, very close to the original! The coloring is normal, and seems great.
I am amazed at how you shaded the fuzzy part of the santa hat! It looks very real and gives it a nice effect.
The background is awesome, and I loved how you mixed different shades of coloring.

Crituique: Hamtaro's face has cute proportions and is believable. I have no problem with any of the linework, and I'm guessing the perspective on the floorboards is supposed to disagree with the presents (a correct alternative would be two lines from his face to the corners of the page). However, the paleness always seems to be an issue. It have looked better if you had pressed page-tearingly hard on the whole thing and just used the black pencil for shading. Interest in this thing depends a lot on the shading of the smooth hat, but you could have a good contrast if you went crazy scribbling all the little branches of the tree.

XD I was tempted to do what you suggested with the branches,but my first doodle attempt failed miserably,so I went with smooth needles. As for darkening lineart,I've been looking for a special pen I heard about the glides over pencil lead really well. Regular pens don't go over pencil very well.
