Coloured version of typthis.deviantart.com/art/Reaβ¦What we have here are a set of realistic interpretations of the Oddish evolution line. The evoloution line is based on the Rafflesia plant from south east Asia. This plant is parasitic. It lives in the root systems of other plants and the flower is the only part that can be seen. So I figured that the Oddish line could also be a symbiotic pairing of plant and mammal with the plant part steadily taking over the creature as it matures. The mammal part of the creatures are based on marsupial mice.

Hm, interesting, I myself interpreted them more as a rafflesia with roots like the mandrake that superficially resemble a body with legs.

Either works. At least Oddish are far easier to explain than a floating vanilla ice cream cone.
