Description Little naga boy asleep in the big fig tree out the front of our house. I can't blame the guy for sleeping being so hot and over cast. There's not even a puff of breeze to offer respite. It's so hot during the build up (Oct-Dec). And this year's been a reall hot one with nightly minimums never getting below 25 C and relative humidty of 80-90%. I hope naga boy finds some where a bit more sheltered before the afternoon/evening storm breaks.

This sceen really is taken from the fig tree outside our house- though with some modifications to accomodate the naga more comfrotably. So I can give a good estimate for the guy's size. He's about the size of a small cat and his tail's somewhere around the 2m mark. The tail pattern is based on the Brown Tree Snake, one the local snakes which I've never seen. The picture I was referencing for the pattern had lovely cream and onrange bands. It's A3 in size.

Welcome to Christmas in the Tropics!

Mmmm...perhaps not. The novelty of high temps and humidity wears thin after a week of near sleepless nights.

Thank you, though what was probably the inspiration wasn't so lovely.

And, by the way, wouldn't he rather be slithering around happily now that he's heated up?

Or he's overheated already

He's actually a nocturnal snake. He'll go off hunting once it gets dark.
