very nicely done! I live his new green coat-and his hat!

He looks like a seasoned veteran to the sniper trade-given his facial expretion.

Thank you, I'm glad it worked out. Since grey is the dominant colour of the Gombostonian army, I was a bit afraid to him stick out too much.

As for his veterancy... he enlisted with Tyranio so, just as him. It's more like indifference than the scars of war. His aims was to reach the rank of his father during the Eight Chedrihan War so when it's over, he retire, "worthy" to inherit the rank of the Grand Verderer of the Whelfanian forest. Silly family traditions, which like in many Gombostonian families is usually revolves around military service. Since he is the second son of the family, by age he couldn't demand that, so it's up to merit.

So for him the end isn't in the army. Thankfully he is stoic as a brick, so he don't really mind using killing as a mean to the end. For him to hunt humans is just like hunting rabbits when he was a kid.

I don't think he stands out that much. I thought his jaket was grey until I looked more closely.

Does he survive the war?

Yeah. He'll be one of the few who get a happy ending and it isn't bittersweet, but really, he steps out of the history books quite well.

Everyone has to day someday, their tragedy will be how they leave this world... or how they got left behind for those who survive it.

how many of the chore die, might I ask?

All of them eventually

But for three I wrote their deaths so far. By the time Katherina and Wilhelm takes over, only two of the original choir is going to live.

Yeah, I really don't want to kill them, but if I don't want to end the story with a "they lived happily ever after" ending, they have to make way to the new blood.

I had several characters in my story I wanted to kill off. I didn't want to kill of the protagonist, Wick, because my plan is for her to develope PTSD after her military service.

Yeah, but I plan to go on with the story, so they have to go, like it or not. Not to mention the new divided leadership and the changed Empire would not have that impact, if Tyranio would be around living happily retired with Reiny.

As for Wick. Question. What is the PTSD?

indeed.

PTSD stands for "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder". A large number of soldiers get it after their service. People also get it from traumatic expirences in general. Like surviving a horrific car crash were others died and you could uave been one of them.

Yeah I know what post traumatic stress disorder is, just didn't know what the abbreviation PTSD stood for. Allthough in hindsight it would've been obvious.

Well that is unfortunate, but for someone like Wick it isn't too suprising.

ya, she origonally wanted to setle down and start a family after the war, but her mental state prevents her from doing so.
