Before the first 3D instalment of the well known Grand Theft Auto Series reached the market, and before the first game of the also well known Halo series appeared, Rockstar Games and Bungie Inc. co-developed a TPS - Third Person Shooter. This game called ONI, and heavily inspired by 1995 anime Ghost in the Shell.

This game is an excellent mix of classic TPS, fighting and anime games. You control Konoko a female police officer who is not also a good shooter, but an excellent hand-to-hand combat specialist. The story is well developed, full of action, intrigue and twist but also feature two kind of endings - which at it's time (2001) - was extremely rare in western games. You can fight enemies with bare hand using punch and kick attacks but there are all kind of combos to choose from, from simple multiple kicks through somersault attacks to even neck breaking twisters!
But if you prefer guns there are plenty to choose from though you could carry only one at any given time, the arsenal is quite diverse, it ranges from pistols and SMG's to plasma rifles and screaming heat seeker "demon" rockets and cluster grenade throwers!
The graphics were quite good at her time (again we are talking 2001 here) though it's quite aged in the past 15 years, none the less the action, bare hand fighting and story could made you forget the old textures and models!

A must have game for anyone who like good stories and fighting games.
