"AGH!" Bethany let slip a cry of shock, and more or less tossed away the hat she'd been about to fit over her head. It was not dirt, or blades of grass, or even bugs that had fallen onto her nose. Those she could handle, those were normal. These were Tinies! She'd heard stories of their race living in the trees and thickets that dominated this park, but she'd never actually seen them for herself. The closest was when her friend had snapped a blurry photo supposedly showing a pair of the creatures trying to make off with a blueberry from a picnic spread. Bethany had simply written it off as some strange-looking ants, and thought the friend was fooling herself.
