A late happy new year. =]This was a Secret Santa gift.
I didn't knew Shiki before, but I have to say, I like the manga.
Tried to put in a more gloomy atmosphere, lots of light and shadow, rain and some nice details.
Again I could have worked on it way longer , but there is a point, when you have to say "stop".
References were used for the characters, the mask and the puppet.

Thanks! : ) I used Photoshop 7 and it's drawn in grayscale. Colours were added afterwards with one layer set to "color", as well as a little bit of texture. If I remember right, the main brush was a self-made one. It's similar to one of the standard brushes (don't know the english names, maybe airbrush with hard edge?), but square, not round, and a little bit textured.
