A skilfully subverted symmetry, as the wires, signs and parked cars create an obfuscated urban landscape out of the high street merging into the driveway leading up to the castle. The grand building may have lost much of its former glory, but it still holds a striking position within the town and its everyday life, something which is well captured in your photograph. As ever, the choice of subject and the use of monochrome give a timeless, provincial (meant in a good way here) quality to the scene, both aesthetically pleasing and oddly comforting. Well done !
