I know this is probably a stupid question but is that a ring Kaidan is holding?

Yes. I purposefully kept it off 'camera,' as it were.

Bioware will suffer if they don't make DLC's for Ash and Kaidan the way they did for Liara!

I actually think I'm in the minority in that I think Ash/Kaidan's reactions to Shepard are perfectly reasonable. Cerberus is a terrorist organization with evil scientist overlord leanings. It'd be like if went away for 2 years and suddenly joined evil science genius division of the taliban.
The thing that bothered me about the Horizon scene isn't the Alliance-- its Shepard. The responses you're given are lazy ass crap.
Option A: "Its been a long time. How've you been?"
Option B: "You seem mad. Something wrong Ash?Kaidan?"
Option C: (I forget what it was exactly)
Seriously? No wonder the response was pissed off. Not that it's Shepard's fault. The writers were really asleep at the switch... er, wheel.... keyboard? *shrug*👍: 0 ⏩: 2

No I get you, it was just sad that it had to go that way.
I was all DON'T GO ;-; and he was all FUCK YOU and it was sad.
I liked his letter later though, it was definitely 'I've been brooding' and gave some depth to it.

bioware was really selective for when Shep could lay on the charm and whatnot. Where are the red and blue mouse icons when we needed them? Instead all we got was "Join my crew. It'll be like old times." wtf?
Then again, I wish real life would have pop up red/blue mouse icons.

I really wanted a 'break the fuck down' option.
Shep's been through so much and to have him do that would really suck for her.
She's off, dying, being rebuilt, and struggling to find out where she is, what's going on, who is where and trying her damndest to save the universe... Again.
I know my Shep would cry if her 'boyfriend' just fucked off like that.
As far as Shepard is concerned, it's been only a few days since they last, er, LIASED, in the Normandy. Just a few days since everything was fine. Then fright and trauma and allsorts and here we are.
Sucks balls. I'd think it'd be more of a mule's kick to the stomach than the choices Bioware gave us there, yes.

Yea the questions sucked for sure.
Although I guess it's sort of easy to forget that for Shepard, it's been like, two days. With the myriads of shit going on she might sort of revert back to happy times just to deal with the stress.
