I use Photoshop primarily. Though, I am trying to learn Painter X. For any kind of vector or typography work, I use Illustrator.

Don't be so hard on yourself, you are only 15!!! Besides, you don't need all the fancy software to become a great artist. Pencil and paper, the originals. In the mean time, save up the cash (allowance? after school job?). Wacoms are getting cheaper (Bamboo is great for beginners) and you can get programs at discount for being a student. Birthday and Christmas. You could be up running within a year.

Actually, my art teacher encourages me to use penicl/pen rather than do it on the computer; she likes digital art, sure, but she likes traditional more. And anyway, firs you need to be good art -- only then can you do the same on the computer and make it all pretty.

Gaahh I love how everything is in monochrome, except for the bird. Excellent way of making it stick out.

I drew the characters out on regular old printer paper with my trusty blue col-erase pencil. I scanned it into Photoshop and desaturated the line work. Colored in Photoshop. Flats colors and textures.

I love the concept of everythin else is monochrome, but just bring out one colour, cause its really attention grabbing

I love my blue col erase pencils and did all my line work with those on regular printer paper. Scanned it and colored it with in Photoshop. Used a lot of textures.

The coloring is exquisite!! Doing black and white, ezcept for the beard's tie and the bird--it's amazing!! It draws your attention to the characters!!
