I think the hair's just a shade too dark. Also, if you want to make the face a little more like a girl's like a previous comment suggested, perhaps widening the eyes slightly would help.

In that case you'll want to make the skin tone a little bit grayer to show that with character design, actually wear the stereotypical clothes and/or cut down on the wild shenanigans and comedic hi-jinks. Then where are your piercings, hmmmm? You're dyed hair? To truly pull it off, you need some sort of mechanism that allows you to put on a "mask" and hide your face, your personality. While TG could qualify... I doubt you're a goth that hides from the world by turning into a girl. Or by turning into a guy. Even with photo's you'll never convince me %100 of either gender.

How you're Americanized rendition of your own face looks and it's relation to you're character. Also the why's and hows of why it doesn't look androgynous enough in the picture and why I'll never trust you 100% that you're actually male even after looking at you're photos.
Don't worry, we're staying close to the original topic. If you read through the conversation you'll see what I mean. How a character's physical attributes influence the reader's perception of them and what facial features define gender.

People do it. You're in the TG community I would think the answer would be self explanatory from some of the people you've met. What gender you say you are, what gender you genetically are and what gender you currently are can be three different answers. I've had those sorts of people comment on my stuff. Heck, I've got watchers that are that sort of person. While I doubt that you ARE from that group, the point is that you COULD BE. It wouldn't be a bad thing, it's just that it's always a nagging possibility.

Yeah, that's kind of what made me think of it as silly that you could be transgendered, though I have seen do some of that sort of "TG as a gag" stuff and they look like they'd be prime to use the serious side of TG. I guess you never can tell.
Speaking of which, could we see some less refined scraps of how you design and draw characters? It might help people when they try to critique and help you refine your work if they could see your process. I for one know a lot of my stuff looks poor right up until I say that it's made in PowerPoint. That's when I start getting good tips and analysis. It might work for you too.
