The Cathlic and Nazis were idiots. The only people in the two groups who knew who Alucard truly was were the Major, Schrodinger, Dok, Captian Hans, and Anderson. I think Anderson realized that Alucard was Dracula the moment he said "The Bird of the Herms is my name...". Maxwell didn't figure it out until he saw Vlad's troops and then Vlad the Impailer himself.
