I edited something... I made the colors a little brighter.
Here is my Megaman Character Concept for a New Megaman Series!
First, I really wanted to make a new Megaman Art style. I thought of doing a realistic/semi-realistic style and the characters are adult looking but It seems wrong for a Megaman Concept.
So I still make it look a kid and stick to the usual Megaman concepts. I wanted to make the style "new and original" although I still inspired the looks of it to ZX/Zero characters. Noticeable difference is the feet and the loose clothing. I'm still conceptualizing the story though. The story takes place between ZX and Legends. Concepts for this new Megaman Series might be change...

Wow. You know, X VS Zero Decisive Battle 2 and Zero VS Omega Zero are tied for my personal favourite sprite animations of all time. I aspire to be more like you: Do kickass animations, and kickass drawings.

The arm/boot style is DEFINITLY Megaman. The sword and cape, a bit less. Overall, I think this style is COMPLETLY different from what I saw so far, but... Wow...

I like the concept, but I feel that this doesn't really fit with Mega Man. It's a very busy design, with a lot going on. Outside of the Zero-shaped helmet, it doesn't say Mega Man to. It's very dark and drab. I'd hope this was a villain character.
I like the overall design, I think it would be cool for a science-fiction/Western crossover of some sort, but I don't think it's very "Mega Man" yet.
To be constructive I'd suggest a bit brighter/warmer colours and a bit simpler of a design. Perhaps a bit of streamlining.

I first conceptualize the character to be a bad guy that turned out to be good(similar to zero) so that's why he kinda looks villainous. I really made the colors dark and less vibrant than other Megaman so that it would fit to a story that is "dark".
I'm thinking before if this character would be for Megaman or will be a character of own story. I then decided to make it a character for Megaman. The feeling that this doesn't fit for a Megaman character cross my mind too but for me it's just ok because I wanted the overall design to be different/unique to other Megaman.

Well then again you said in between. Not a problem though looking at the blade I keep thinking great sword but still looks as if you can easily swing it with one arm but still looks great.
