Description
The Fortressa was one of the primary capital ships of Retribution Squadrons. Housing over 500 Rebel Fighters and bombers and wielding a massive amount of turbolasers and lasers plus and formidable Droid garrison (fighters and troops), it was truly a fortress.

Originally a freighter, it was converted into a battleship during the lead up to the Clone Wars. She would participate in several major actions including the Raid on Kuat. During a hyperspace jump, shutdown command was recieved and the ship was left stranded in space as it had no organic crew.

15 years later, the proto-Rebellion would discover the Fortressa and bring her back into service. She would be used to raid Imperial systems where she gained the name 'Terrible Fortress' by her crew.

Admiral Del Turos, when assembling Retribution Squadron would choose Fortressa as a capital ship where she would gain more turbolasers and Mon Calamari shield pods turning her into a mobile fortress.

Although early performance of her fighter crews was dissapointing (more due to the Kwymar Sector being well versed in dealing with fighters and bombers), the Fortressa itself proved to be equal to any Imperial class Star destroyer.

After the end of the Kwymar campaign, she would participate at Jakku and the destruction of four warlord states before retirement. Sold to a civilian concern, she was brought back to her Trade Federation configuration into Telosian hands. Needless to say, her massive bulk, weapons and droids prevented many attacks.

After the First Orders conquest of the new Republic, the Fortressa would be converted back to her Galactic Civil War configuration. The ships greatest success would come when she ambushed the Resurgent Class 'Judgement' which was preparing an attack on Kwymar which refused to hand its droid manufacturers over.

The Fortressa responded to the distress signal and managed to jump behind the Resurgent and using its weapons and bombers took down the Resurgent quickly.

She would be destroyed during the battle of Exogul when force lightning would disable her causing the battleship to fall to the planet. Happily, none of her crew perished as two Xyston class provided a nice cushion for the Lucrehulk.

Attempts by Sith Troopers to board the wreck would be beaten off by droids, the crew, and remaining turrets.

Post conflict, metal from her wreck was used by the people of the Kwymar Sector to build the 'Fortressa of Kwymar' and 'Fortressa of Telos', two battleships that patrol their home sectors.
