I attempted a sketchbook challenge during February. I didn't get very far, but I did at least a week more daily sketches than I usually do. It was fun, but I think my downfall was having trouble coming up with what to draw. I think more than I do, and that's a problem for something like this. The next time I make an attempt, I'll probably write up a calendar of things to draw or something.

On days 1 and 2 I drew Kunzite, a gem I adopted XombieJunky last year. (Gem adopts was pretty much the theme of what I managed to draw, I've got quite a few of them). I'm still figuring out their story, so I don't have much to say there. The first sketch was of Kunzite's current design, trying to figure out how to colour them with the copics I have. I think that turned out pretty well. Sketch two is an imagining of a scene between Kunzite and Pink Diamond. We don't have actual colour schemes for those uniforms, so I used what we've seen from Peridot and Jasper as a reference. The actual picture has sparkly diamonds in the background too, it's always a shame that scanners can't show those well.

Also, yes, I realise Kunzite's feet are backwards on the first sketch. No need to point it out to me.
