Ah, I think the blurring of the background's rather a beautiful add to the scene instead~ It certainly makes the setting quite... warm, blurring away from the distracting lights and the world just to focus on the love between the two <3

Girl please, you've done quite a number of really nice backgrounds before! And this one is no exception, for the blurry structure and city lights in the back combine well with the atmosphere to create... a strangely romantic scene, in a gloomy sense~ Gotta love all of that purple on this piece, haha~
