Yes! I made this one espcially for Deviantart! This is Kikyou's last living moments. I was crying when I saw this, I really was. It was SO terribly sad. It was a tragic, yet beautiful death. If she had to die, I'm glad it was like this. And what I'm really glad for, is that Kikyou redeemed herself. I didn't read it all, but she saved Kagome's life, and sacrificed her own as a chance to kill Naraku. I'm not sure what heppened to him, but I'm sure her death will not be in vain.

Here was the scene: After the battle, Kikyou's body was terrible fragile and weak. She had no chance for survival. Inuyasha carried her away and asked for some privacy, so he could speak to Kikyou for one last time. It's a very solumn and awkward moment, but the Inu-tachi obey and leave Inuyasha and Kikyou alone. Over to the Inu-Tachi, all of them were blaming themselves as a part of Kikyou's death. They all say that they could have done something to prevent it, and feel guilty about judging her, and decide that she was trying to help everyone. Especially Kagome. When she shot the arrow, it could have saved Kikyou, but instead she deflected it towards Naraku, Kagome blames herself "I couldn't save her!" And Kagome and Kikyou's last moments together, Kikyou was being kind and warm towards Kagome, and entrusted Kagome to protect Kohaku's light, and gave her her bow. Kagome cries to herself, but as Kikyou is being carried away, she tells Kagome silently "Don't cry Kagome. My soul will be saved."

Back with Inuyasha and Kikyou, Inuyasha sits down with Kikyou in his arms, and holds her tight. Kikyou weakly asks Inuyasha if he remember the time, 50 years ago when Kikyou asks Inuyasha if he wanted to become a human, then the jewel could purify, and she would become an ordinary woman, instead of devoting her life to protecting the jewel. And Inuyasha agreed, until they both fell for Naraku's trap. Inuyasha smiles. Of course he remembered that. He holds Kikyou closer, her eyes are shut, trying to conserve enery. He tells Kikyou that she was the first woman that he had ever come to love. And through it all, he couldn't save her! Tears start to roll down his face, and splash Kikyou's cheeks, causing her to open her eyes. She says that she's never seen this before, Inuyasha's crying face. Inuyasha doesn't reply to that remark. "Kikyou, I COULDN'T SAVE YOU!" as the tears keep coming out. Kikyou looks at him with a surprised expression, then smiles warmly. "You came for me, I'm alright with that!" Inuyasha looks at Kikyou in astonishment. "Kikyou." and they kiss. A mutual kiss. A beautiful last kiss. And while Inuyasha's eyes closed, his lips still on hers, Kikyou thinks to herself "Inuyasha.." and she smiles, the same warm smile that she's never produced since she was alive, and then she starts to fade away. In a flash, she's gone, with nothing left but orbs of light left behind, her soul.
Inuyasha stands up, devistated, as the rest of the Inu-tachi watches this brilliant, tragic scene. The shinidamachuu come and take her soul to a place of refuge. "Kikyou" Kagome thinks to herself, as more tears form. "This light." Miroku says quietly. "Kikyou's Soul" Sango chimes in. "it's as if she's saying farewell" Shippou says wisely, beyond his years. Kagome looks down, guilt ridden. "It's warm" she whispers. Then the shinidamachuu are out of sight, Inuyasha and Kagome staring at the sky. While Inuyasha is still looking up, he says mournfull "Kikyou...is saying "don't mourn". "Inuyasha..." Kagome whispers softly.

"I'll always protect you."

It was beautiful. SUCH a beautiful chapter. I took three pages of it. The kiss, the cover, and something in the middle. I used cloud renders as a base, and added brushes and such and pattern overlays and a gradient colour. I blended Kikyou and Inuyasha's faces into the sky, if you can see them. Then I made a PNG out of Kikyou and Inuyasha kissing, and bolded it, and put a glow around it, I made it look like nighttime(hopefully) then I added lyrrics to it. The faded overlayed lyrics are from the song "It's dangerous buisness walking out your front door" by Underoath. It's a great song. So it "kiss me one last time". All from Underoath. WHICH I AM GOING TO SEE!(Hopefully!) I worked on it all day. It's my masterpiece! So far. I hope you enjoy it! (see i even took time and effort into the description!)
