It's called Experiment 3.1 coz I am experimenting with adding colour to my skribbles. This is one of a series of experiments..........

Let's say straight off that this skribble is MASSIVELY influenced by Luis Royo, my hero, muse and personal artistic god (in an atheistic kinda way!? LOL). The pic is not a copy of a Royo or any part of........ but there are certain elements which fans of The Master will immediately recognise. It has always been my wish to emulate my hero, and I think I am coming close to realising that wish. My lazy, procrastinating artistic backside needed a hefty boot to get it kickstarted back into creativity and this materialised in late May by the arrival of the latest Royo for the bookshelf, I am not ashamed to state that many of the images contained within Subversive Beauty have brought me to tears....... anyways, that's how this image came about. Started Thursday, 8 June 2006 and finished nine days later, after about 35 hours of pencil on paper (and about 45 minutes of splosh from the watercolour brush!)
