Description Fallen

This is a VERY old skribble, so don't tell me how technically bad it is..... Please!!

I'm putting this here because it was always in the top two faves on my EW pages, getting an incredible number of page hits. As with the Dark Lady skribble this has had a black BG put in.

Story by Samantha Hosea ~ June 2nd 2002:

'...they looked back... afraid that Burkom would be faster and take them back. But Burkom did not have the youth anymore to be able to keep up and was getting smaller and smaller. Still he dragged her forward, holding her arm. His heart lifted, for just a few yards to go and they'll be free! Straining to get to that moment even earlier, he was not able to dodge the arrow, sent without doubt by a cursed servant of Burkom who did not know what consequences he was creating. He heard her scream and felt her pain, linked in mind as they were. He knew she would not live. Not caring he could still be hit too, he took her to the ground and softly laid her on his lap, caressing her warm body. 'We're together...still...'

Broken Wings, broken dreams, broken hearts.
The light in his life has been extinguished forever.

Technically bad? I wouldn't know as I'm not an artist, but I think think this is pretty fantastic myself. Wonderful lighting and shading; this is such a dramatic image. The one thing I do notice is a pronounced difference in the style of the drawing in the bodies of the two people and their wings - the wings seem rougher and more sketchy, while the lighting and shading of the contours of their muscles and form are just fantastic. I don't really know how to describe what I mean - it seems like you spent a lot longer on the people than the wings? I won't be too critical though, as you said not to comment on technicalities and I feel I can't criticize something I could never do myself! All in all a really wonderful job, well done.
