I searched for 'the grey man' and I found him. I read about his life and he was a classic serial murderer.
I was frightened, but still very intrigued. How could it go so wrong? How can a human mind be so twisted?
The worst thing is that he is just one example on human history.
He was, truly, scary.
I am surprised you knew. Where did you learn about him? In school, or somewhere else?

Iam a person who is very interested in many different things, be it smith work, how ancient civilisations worked, how to make tools and weapons from stone, how cultures,countries and religions were formed and so on... and at one time I some how ( I doesnt even know when, its maybee like 5-3 three years ago so when I was around 12-13) I got into serial killers, so I read, watched and listened to a lot of documents/movies about them. I came from H.H Holmes to the hill side strangler, so many I forgot about half on them. And of course at some point there will come a Albert Fish along the way and entertain me with his life, his murderes and his final death.
In school we get not tought such things, and its real hard to find infromations about serial killers in german media, espacilly back than. I got all the infromations from american websites or english speaking youtube channels or english documentary movies. What only was in my advantage, altough my grammar in english isnt that good, I can speak it fluidly, even to the level I forget like every 3rd german word in a sentence and need a few moments so i can recall the german word for it
So yeah I learned about him by being an vastly curius pre-teen
