Description
The original 3D Design of an Elvish Swan Ship being built in wood, as suggested by the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien.

In historical terms, the design is something of a cross between a longboat and a Zebec. The rigging is certainly for the triangular sails of a Zebec, with modifications. And as far as that goes, I suspect that the Professor would take me to task over an elvish ship that is not square-sailed. His own drawings show a relatively small ship that is just a Norse or Saxon longboat with a swan figurehead.

The rigging and various features have been kept simple to give it a sense of antiquity. It even has a tiller rather than a wheel, a hard task for the helmsman on a ship some 158 scale feet (about 50 meters).
