Thanks! It's one from the "salvaged photography" category. Thank heavens for my acquired GIMP skills. I'm honestly an utterly crappy photographer

For some reason I thought about lakes and reed plants when I saw this.Β Some memories probably

It's based on a photo of rushes next to a pond, so you're right about that. The pond is in the middle of the forest, I had "discovered" it a week before. There were irises in full blossom, which was a very impressive sight. So I went back a week later, but of course they were already wilted. I'm a very crappy photographer and my camera isn't that great either, so I didn't come home with anything of interest, but at least with the GIMP I managed to squeeze this one out. The pond is right next to the "witch field" as I decided to call it. It's one of the few places in the woods where they care to me the grass, which is normally not done because the nature conservationists here are obsessed with carefully managing what they believe is "wild nature". I don't know why they decided to mow this particular spot, but for some reason I could imagine a bunch of locals gathering there and doing all sorts of impure stuff on a summer night under a full moon. Lots of very rich people live in that area, and everyone knows that all rich people practice witchcraft. How else would they be so rich?

Excellent description of that magical place near the pond. I also thought about magic and ancient rituals. Who knows, maybe the White Lady lives there ... probably those places are more confortable Β for fairies and other mystical creatures. They love to live closer to beautiful things Some rich people sometimes follow ancient rituals and magic, but I think the main reason for their wealth and good luck is good karma. At least people in India think so.

I was just joking Although rich people, especially the old money, do tend to live in these picture perfect environments full of beauty and idyll. And there's an English saying that "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is". So, when confronted with such beauty, it's quite easy and tempting to suspect something sinister going on under the hood
