Here's an infodump:
Sel (Selene) - Class: Sorcerer
Age: 18
Pronouns: She/Her

Quick Desc: Sel is an averagely built Halfling, although born with weak constitution and not possessing the general heavy build of her race. She has tan skin and wild short hair, which she usually dyes of bright pink. She wears a carved wood mask loosely representing a halloween pumpkin with the addition of cat ears. She wears a black bodice with a gold rimmed shawl, a pink mantle secured around her right arm by a family jewel. She wears short bright pink boots and white leather legwarmers tied around them.
From her rather disastrous experience in studying magic by herself, Sel has gathered quite a few scars. She has lost most of her fingers on her right hand and her face is rather disfigured from a firebolt gone wrong. She carries a wand made of pumpkin wood in hopes it can channel her magic better, and is prone to use it with her right hand, should something go wrong again.

Selene was born amongst a numerous family of farmer lightfoot halfling. First of three siblings, Sel had to spend most of her childhood looking after her siblings, without much time for exploring and satiating her natural curiousness. Known among the family to be the most stubborn, she was given the nickname of pumpkinhead especially from her father, who began using the name more than the one she was given as birth as the years went on and her pressings for leaving became more insistent.
Her family was a quiet one, living among humans and making ends meet with their job, with no intention whatsoever to leave the little piece of heaven they made for themselves. Sel saw no future among them and their farming activity, which she completely sucked at, not that she ever wanted to learn, but her parents never saw fit for her to leave the safe hearth of her home due to her weak constitution and her job of looking after her younger siblings. Things got bad, however, when most of the town was taken on by a horrible plague, which left the town scarcely populated, wiping entire families off the map. Selene's family suffered three losses, her mother and siblings, before healers turned up at the town to tend to the remaining. Not with little difficulty, Selene and her father were able to recover and return to the family business, engulfed with grief.
Closed in walls that were three people short, Selene felt her permanence inside the house growing increasily asfixiating as the hours went on, until finally she broke, making her own bag and going straight to her father about leaving. She thought joining the pilgrim healers as an excuse would serve to weaken his resistance, but she thought wrong. The scar of losing most of his family was still too deep, and her father went into a rage. Their quarrel became violent, and the anger and fear Selene went through unleashed her first wave of uncontrolled magic. Her father was transfigured into a hard looking pumpkin and shouted no more.
With her last relative so eerily transfigured, Selene was at a loss of what to do. It was evident that the magic had been her doing and, no matter how much she searched, she could not find someone in town who could help her return him back. She never went into detail, for fear of giving herself away, and suffering punishment for a damage she hadn't meant to do and her search for an adept transfigurator turned out to be in vain. Discourged, she set herself unto the matter, practising her wayward magic as best as she could. This only resulted in more accidents, causing her loss of some fingers and several scars on her face. All her attempts turned out unsuccessful, until what remained of her father wilted and rotted away.
Disgusted and scared, Selene left her house in ashes and ran away, never stopping until she could be far enough not to be known. Some of her kind were known to wander, so the people around town never took notice of a halfling going around towns and never lingering for long. She lived doing odd jobs, with which she was able to procure a wooden mask for herself to cover her badly disfigured face, and a mantle to conceal her bad arm. Feeling dangerous to herself and others but intrinsically curious, Selene keeps going from one city to the other, practicing her magic and learning as much as she can.
Personality:
DON'T EAT THAT! IT COULD BE SOMEONE'S RELATIVE!
Having spent a lot of time alone, Sel has a very bubbly personality and will typically want to be involved in discussion and get to meet new folks. Her curiosity leads her to asking many questions, sometimes too many, which can leave people rather annoyed. She is not very mature and might not fully realise the consequences of her actions, although they are never driven by malice. She is good hearted, and is genuinely sorry when she accidentally messes up with her magic - or anything else. Which she does a lot.
She is, however, very stubborn and as such will always get up after a fall, both physically and metaphorically. Events in her life have left a psychological scar on her, however, which is mainly translated in her repulsion for vegetables. She won't accept to eat, or be near, any of them and will get very upset to see people eating them. She may occasionally try to turn them back into a human being, or setting them on fire.
Another touchy subject is her mask: when asked about it, she insists that that is what her face actually looks like, as that is something she would like to bet true and believe. Her face, other than being badly disfigured, is a memory of what she has done and could never repair.
Despite being bubbly and curious about other people, Sel is not very fond of talking about herself other than her adventures on the road and will politely avoid personal questions by giving puzzling answers or gently restirring the conversation towards other subejcts.
Selene's favourite animal are cats, and she is an old cat lady at heart. Their solitary, yet affectionate behaviour is something she can relate very closely to.
